The route, with seemingly no way, is luckily just a hidden path. Begin at the staircase, then move to the right. From there, go down, then further to your right, before making your final move straight up, leading you straight to the skull chest.

Step 4: Get Back to the Main Path

Once you have collected the Revenant Armor from the chest, take the same route back. This will put you back onto the main path, enabling you to proceed, well-equipped, through your journey in the Necromancer's Lair and the Sea of Stars.
