Snapchat Reveals New Partnership with Amazon

The partnership will be about the virtual try-on AR feature. Snapchat adds a new option in its in-stream commerce area. It collaborates with Amazon to provide best-selling eyewear from Amazon to Snap Lenses. Users will be able to virtually try-on staff offered there.

They have already revealed the first look at the new feature. You may check it out in the Amazon Fashion profile. There you will see different try-on options for users. If you have eyewear and Snap Lens, you can try the new feature. It behaves like a complementary channel for purchases through the Amazon store.

Snap has explained the new concept in detail for users who still can’t imagine how it works. According to them, Lenses on Snapchat have thousands of eyewear products from Amazon. Brands that work on Amazon can use Amazon AR assets to promote their goods in an entertaining and interactive way for millions of active users on Snapchat. Snap believes that customers will be attracted by the opportunity to try on the goods via the platform. Shopping online will become more advanced on Snap, as well as on Amazon. For now, it looks like a win-win situation for both Snapchat and Amazon brands.

Amazon has recently revealed an AR try-on digital display for the glasses in the app. Snapchat saw an opportunity there. Moreover, retailers that work with both platforms saw this opportunity as well, being able to match the AR with Snap to reach the audience faster. Snap says that according to the official stats there are more and more customers who prefer mobile shopping, appreciating its speed and simplicity. Amazon Fashion 2021 has received over 1 billion orders from customers.
